A Little More Synergy and Other Thoughts

December 7, 2011By William Rogers Comments

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we’ve had an extraordinary number of requests to get the Synergy 2011 presentations online, a gratifying task as it shows that the content from our engineering and marketing teams really resonated with the Ektron community.

I’m happy to say that the majority of the Synergy presentations – including the keynotes – are now available on the Ektron SlideShare account.  Among others, there you’ll find some outstanding presentations on Searchin 8.5, Ektronin the Azure Cloudthe Ektron Digital Experience Hub and Best Practices for the Mobile Web.

And if you haven’t done so already, why not subscribe to our SlideShare feed by clicking on the “Follow” button when you visit.  It’s a great way of making sure you get the news on the latest presentations, documents and webinar videos coming from Ektron.

Bill Cava and the engineering team are also hard at work getting the Developer Track Synergy presentations online in video webinar format.  You can see the release schedule for those webinars in the latest Developers Newsletter here.

And speaking of videos and Synergy, we’ve created a landing page that we’re filling with the videos we captured at Synergy 2011, including the Opening Keynote (featuring a wild violin solo by Ektron CMO Tom Wentworth),  Rice University’s Jeff Frey on “Ektron and the Six Blind Men,” Microsoft’s Nicole Denil Keynote on the Azure Cloud, the Ektron Site of the Year Award and Danny Williams, Web Marketing Manager at Technology Credit Union (www.techcu.com) presenting a Mobile Channel Strategy encompassing your audience, your business objectives and the technology you already have in place.

And speaking of videos (again), I’ll also commend to your attention Erick Mott’s interview with Salim Hemdani, group vice president of experiences and platform at Razorfish, at the Ektron Developer Meetup presentation in San Francisco, where they discuss “Is continuous innovation a killer app for today's web teams?”  Erick recently did a series of interviews with thought leaders at Gilbane Boston on a variety of subjects, including the importance of managing customer experience through all digital channels. Check in to our Community Hub regularly to see them all as Erick posts them.
