Ektron continues on a roll as we roll into Fall

I was thinking I could almost do the same headline for my October blog post as I did for September as I sat down to write this. Even though the Dog Days of Summer have passed and we’re expecting the first frost of the season tomorrow in New Hampshire, Ektron continues on a roll as we roll into Fall.

First and foremost, we’re pleased to announce Ektron 8.5 graduated from “release candidate” and was officially released on September 29^th. Positive partner and customer developer reaction continues to come in on 8.5, including the following:

"Over the last three years, we have seen Ektron evolve into a provider of enterprise-class WCM. Ektron 8.5 is the most important release in Ektron's history." ~ Chris Osterhout, director of Development at WSOL.

"The Framework API in 8.5 radically improves developer productivity, allowing us to hit our aggressive timelines." ~ Cameron Jordan, director of E-Communication at Berry College.

"By taking advantage of the Ektron Framework API we have found that whether we are accessing folders, content, members or searching; the extensive use of the Criteria Pattern and the consistency of the API allows for more efficient development and easier code reviews.” ~ James Coleman, director of Technology Services at iCrossing.

A second major piece of news was Ektron establishing a Global Community Practice led by Erick Mott, a concrete example of our commitment in helping customers, partners and developers share their web innovation, success stories and best practices.
