Who Are You?

By William Rogers Comments

The New York Times recently published a profile of IBM’s Samuel J. Palmisano, who stepped down as CEO at the beginning of this year after nearly a decade of running the company.  Palmisano notes in the interview that his overall guidance of IBM was in answer to four questions he formulated:“Why would someone spend their money with you — so what is unique about you?”“Why would somebody work for you?”“Why would society allow you to operate in their defined geography — their country?”“And why would somebody invest their money with you?”While the last two questions are more directed to a global,

A Little More Synergy and Other Thoughts

By William Rogers Comments

As I mentioned in the last newsletter, we’ve had an extraordinary number of requests to get the Synergy 2011 presentations online, a gratifying task as it shows that the content from our engineering and marketing teams really resonated with the Ektron community. I’m happy to say that the majority of the Synergy presentations – including the keynotes – are now available on the Ektron SlideShare account.  Among others, there you’ll find some outstanding presentations on Searchin 8.5, Ektronin the Azure Cloud,  the Ektron Digital Experience Hub and Best Practices for the Mobile Web.And if you

Ektron continues on a roll as we roll into Fall

By William Rogers Comments

I was thinking I could almost do the same headline for my October blog post as I did for September as I sat down to write this.  Even though the Dog Days of Summer have passed and we’re expecting the first frost of the season tomorrow in New Hampshire, Ektron continues on a roll as we roll into Fall.First and foremost, we’re pleased to announce Ektron 8.5 graduated from “release candidate” and was officially released on September 29th. Positive partner and customer developer reaction continues to come in on 8.5, including the following:"Over the last three years, we have seen Ektron

Dog Days of Summer? Not for Ektron!

By William Rogers Comments

The dog days of summer are usually considered a slow time for news, but Ektron has enjoyed a lot of attention from the media over the past two months.Part of that is due to our Ektron 8.5 release candidate, which, as I noted last month, has received a great deal of favorable attention in the online press.  We’re also pleased to see praise about 8.5 from the people whose opinion matters most to us, our developer community, in both Twitter and email.   For example, a “Jay B.” a web director working in higher education, tweeted about a month ago, “ I am in love with the new #ektron 8.5
