SOPA Protests – What it all means?

Introducing the new Brightcove widget for Ektron

Last week I had the opportunity to speak at Play, Brightcove's inaugural user conference.  I presented a session on integrating Brightcove with content management systems alongside Sara Radkiewicz, a Product Manager at Brightcove.  Prior to our session, I caught up with Sara to talk a bit about how Ektron and Brightcove partnered to develop the integration. The new integration is built into the latest service pack for 8.02.  Or, you can download and install it from the Ektron Exchange.

Think mobile first, not mobile friendly

2001 was the year of mobile.  Then it was 2002.  Then 2003.  And then 2004.  And so on.  Until 2010, when the CEO finally broke down and bought an iPhone and decided to visit the corporate website.  The horror!!!  Our site doesn't work!  Urgent email to the CMO: "Make our site mobile friendly!".Sound familiar?Some companies have "mobile friendly" figured out.  You remove the Flash movie from the homepage, create a one column page layout template, and perhaps simplify the navigation.  This usually satisfies the emergency CEO email.  But perhaps its time to think about mobile differently?

How to manage Facebook Pages using your CMS

Facebook recently launched a major redesign and expansion of its Pages functionality.  One significant improvement is the shift from Facebook Markup Langauge (FBML) to using iFrames as a development tool for custom tabs.  This means you can now use your Web CMS to manage content inside of a Facebook Page.  In this video, I'll show you how to publish content from your Web CMS into a Facebook Page.  Let me know what you think in comments. Enjoy!
